µTorrent 1.7.6 (build 7859)
Jan.15, 2008
1.7.6 released to fix a remote crash bug. Also fixed 3 other minor issues while we were at it. Barring any other security issues before the release of 1.8, this will be the last 1.7.x release.
This crash bug affects 1.6 and 1.6.1, as well as all 1.7.x releases. No update will be released for those branches. Upgrading is strongly recommended.
What's new:
- Change: do not use adapter subnet to identify local peers
- Fix: double-clicking to open items in RSS releases tab
- Fix: remote crash bug (affects all 1.6.x, 1.7.x, and 1.8 builds released to date)
- Fix: limit local peers if disk is congested

Yep, it seems ever since Bittorrent, Inc. took over µTorrent has been going down hill.
It was nice them to discover a bug that was in µTorrent that affects older versions too or is it a conspiracy to scare people in to updating to the newest version since Bittorrent, Inc. is in bed with the MPAA?Maybe they added code to spy on what you download/upload with µTorrent.I'll leave my conspiracy theory for the conspiracy nut cases to figure out.

I am trying the new version (did not load the language pack) and now all seeding torrents seem to setting at a standing still
Time to downgrade I guess
P.S.
Has anyone upgraded and having the same problem?

Luckily I forgot to upgrade uTorrent last time I was on Windows. In hindsight it might have been a good thing, maybe I should stick with the older version.

I'm using v1.77 and I'm having no problems downloading or uploading.
The problem with using the older versions is the remote crash bug that they discovered.

µTorrent v1.80 Aug. 9, 2008
µTorrent forumYes. Finally. After a year of development, 1.8 has finally gone stable. The main major feature added is Teredo (see General preferences) and IPv6 support, but there's a slew of smaller features, changes and improvements. The changelog is absolutely massive, so check it out down below.

Thanks for the updates P2P. I opened page 3 of this thread and I saw a post I made on January 11.
Then I was trying to figure out why I wanted download a 100 year old song last month.
Then I realised the post was from 2008 and it all made sense
