Phixr
For a free online image manipulation tool from a site with its own support forum:
Phixr is an online photo editor - a complete image editor that works within your web browser.
Now, let's also assume that you are at some internet cafe in a country far from home and want to email the photos you've just taken with your digital camera to your friends and family at home to share the unique experience.

There is only one problem. These photo files are huge. And a nice border around the photo would be nice, apart from some color adjustments. .... Too bad.. this computer doesn't have any image editor installed.

That's just one situation where phixr comes handy! Another typical case are computers in schools or companies where users are not able or not permitted to install software.

Keeping a note of this site for sure. Mac OS X doesn't have an image editor (that I can find?), and I miss the simplicity of quickly whipping something up in Paint.

This will be handy, thanks Moon! :D

I remember searching for a simple photo editor that works on both my PC and Mac, especially for stuff like quick cropping or color tweaks. Tried a bunch of browser tools but honestly some of them felt a bit basic or sluggish, especially messing with big photo files. That’s when I started using desktop editors more often, they usually have better performance and more features, especially when I need to do things like add cool borders or retouch photos before sending them out.

If you ever want something easy but more powerful with AI tools and a bunch of effects, movavi makes editing really easy. Runs well on different computers and doesn’t take long to learn.
